We are so excited to host you aboard the Norwegian Joy again and know you are going to love it! Since this may be your first journey on the Joy, we thought we would share a few tips and tricks with you to make your vacation as smooth as possible!
MEDICATION KIOSK

Forgot your seasickness meds or need a quick pain reliever? No worries! Norwegian Joy has a Self-Service Medication Kiosk conveniently located outside the Medical Facility on Deck 13. This kiosk offers common over-the-counter medications like motion sickness pills, pain relievers, cold medicine, tampons, condoms, and more. Perfect for minor ailments while at sea. It’s a hassle-free way to grab essentials without a trip to the onboard shop.
FIND YOUR WAY – JUST FOLLOW THE FISH!
After a night of rocking out and sipping cocktails, finding your cabin might feel like an adventure. Luckily, Norwegian Joy has a built-in navigation trick—the fish on the hallway carpets! These little swimmers are always heading FORWARD, so if you’re not sure which way you’re going, just follow the fish. It’s an easy way to tell if you’re walking toward the front (forward) or back (aft) of the ship—especially helpful when the tequila starts kicking in!
HIDDEN TRASH CANS NEAR THE ELEVATORS – NO NEED TO SEARCH!
Need to toss a coffee cup or snack wrapper? No need to wander the halls looking for a trash can! Discreetly hidden trash cans are located near the elevators on each deck aboard the Joy. Just look for the small panels that blend seamlessly into the walls, give them a gentle push, and voilà! A convenient, out-of-sight spot to dispose of your trash without the hassle.
WAVE TO OPEN: HANDS-FREE DOORS ONBOARD!
Heading outside to enjoy the ocean breeze? On board the Joy all doors leading from inside to outside, and vice versa, are equipped with hand sensors for easy, touch-free access. Simply wave your hand in front of the sensor, and the door will open automatically. No need to push or pull, just a quick wave, and you’re on your way to the pool deck, a show at Spice H2O, or wherever your next adventure takes you!
Check Your Bill!
We always suggest looking at your cabin account on the last evening of the cruise to check for any possible discrepancies. Simply check on your NCL APP or you can visit Guest Services and request a copy of your bill. Your final bill will either be emailed, or it will be outside your cabin door the morning we arrive back to Miami. Once you are off the ship, you are SHIP out of luck for any corrections that may be needed!
Don’t Miss Your Shot
Be mindful of whether your favorite photos are being taken by MORC or NCL photographers. Any photos taken by NCL photographers must be purchased before the end of the last evening of the cruise or they will be gone forever! Photos taken by official MORC photographers can occasionally be found on our website and Facebook. Photos taken at the Photo Experience at the Observation Lounge will be available at www.VIPCruisePhotos.com approximately 2-3 weeks after the cruise.
And finally… do not pack your keycard as you will need it to disembark the ship.
